Trace Technologies Limited was incorporated in 2002 by the founding directors Geoff Fisher and Ernie Edwards to commercialise a fibre optic ray tracing software program. In 2003 Trace Technologies signed an exclusive agreement with BAE Ventures to purchase the IP rights to FORP (Fibre Optic Raytracing Programme) and to commercialise the software application worldwide. The new software package, PISD™ (Photonic Interconnect System Designer) has the potential to offer significant cost savings to system engineers initially in the aerospace sector.
In 2006 Trace Technologies won the prestigious "Technium Challenge" competition. In January 2007, TTL moved into Optic Technium, St Asaph, North Wales, which is the centre of excellence for UK opto-electronics.
Trace Technologies are a small highly skilled team who between them have over a hundred years experience in their respective fields.
Trace Technologies, founded in 2002, specialises in design automation tools. We have developed tools that offer cost savings and the ability to easily create fibre optic cable harnesses right, first time, every time.
Our groundbreaking product, PISD™, is the first dedicated practical engineering tool to transform the way that aerospace engineers design, install, test and build fibre optic cable harnesses for next generation aircraft.
PISD™ makes it easier, quicker and cheaper than ever before for engineers to accurately design, install, test and build fibre optic cable harnesses for next generation aircraft.
